The Witcher Spin-off Movie Coming With Season 4 On Netflix

Netflix is set to bring fans a surprise this October 2025. Alongside The Witcher Season 4, a spin-off movie called The Rats: A Witcher Tale is reportedly arriving too.

Earlier, rumors claimed that Netflix had canceled the project after filming began in South Africa in 2024. Some insiders even described the movie as a “disaster” and said it turned out “worse than Blood Origin.” Despite these setbacks, it looks like The Rats will finally see the light of day.

The film is said to be a prequel focusing on the group of characters introduced in The Witcher Season 3. However, not much is revealed yet about the full storyline.

Meanwhile, The Witcher Season 4 will release on October 30, 2025, with Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt from Henry Cavill. The series will conclude with Season 5, which is already in development.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich earlier shared that while the main live-action series will end, the world of The Witcher could still expand with more spin-offs in the future.
