Akshay Kumar Recalls Smaller Room After Film Flop

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has completed 35 years in the film industry. In this long journey, he has seen many ups and downs. In a recent chat with ABP News, Akshay spoke about how the film industry treats actors differently after their movies flop.

He shared that in the early days of his career, when his films didn’t do well, he faced changes in the way he was treated. “Your room size depends on your film’s success,” Akshay said. If a movie worked, he got a big suite, and if it flopped, he was given a smaller room.

Akshay remembered one such moment when he worked in a two-hero film. Since the other actor’s movie was a hit, he got a bigger room, while Akshay was given a smaller one. He said, “I still remember walking into his room and thinking, why is my room not so big? Then I realised it was because my films hadn’t worked.”

The actor admitted that failures do affect him. In such times, he prefers to sit quietly and stay away from conversations. His wife, Twinkle Khanna, understands his emotions and supports him by taking care of the family during those tough days.

Akshay’s recent and upcoming films

Recently, Akshay was seen in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla. The film got mixed reviews but still earned over ₹135 crore worldwide.

Next, Akshay will appear in Bhooth Bangal, directed by Priyadarshan, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jisshu Sengupta. The film will release on 2 April 2026. He also has another project with Priyadarshan titled Haiwaan, where he will reunite with Saif Ali Khan.
