Sheriff Country finale Teased As Shocking Murder Hits Edgewater

CBS’s new crime drama Sheriff Country kicked off with a bang, throwing viewers straight into a murder mystery. The show’s first episode, which aired on October 17, follows Sheriff Mickey (Morena Baccarin) as she tries to balance her duties as a mother and law enforcer in the quiet town of Edgewater.

Mickey’s daughter, Skye (Amanda Arcuri), claims she has distanced herself from her boyfriend Brandon, who has been in trouble before. But things take a dark turn when Skye comes home covered in blood — after finding Brandon dead in his apartment.

Despite being her daughter, Mickey takes Skye to the police station, determined to do her duty. The town’s reaction and quick judgments set the stage for a tense and emotional story.

Executive producer Joan Rater revealed that the season will build toward a shocking finale. “When we heard the final episode idea, we couldn’t believe it. It ends with a bang,” she teased.

Series creator Matt Lopez added that fans won’t have to wait all season for answers, promising “delicious plot twists” that will make viewers question everything they think they know.
