Sadhguru’s Advice To Ranbir Kapoor On Ramayana

Ranbir Kapoor, known for his powerful roles in Sanju and Animal, is now taking on one of his biggest challenges — playing Lord Rama in Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film has created huge expectations among fans and devotees even before its release.

Recently, spiritual leader Sadhguru shared his thoughts on the pressure Ranbir faces while portraying such a respected figure. During a conversation with producer Namit Malhotra at the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru said that actors should see such roles as an opportunity for transformation but also be aware of the “unrealistic expectations” that come with them.

He mentioned Telugu legend N.T. Rama Rao, who became a cultural icon after playing Lord Krishna in several films, showing how audiences can deeply connect with actors in divine roles. However, Sadhguru also reminded everyone that acting is a profession and that it’s unfair to judge an actor for past roles or personal opinions.

He added, “Your movie runs because of people, not because of actors or directors.

Ramayana is said to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor, the film stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
