Delhi Crime 3 Makers On Delay: ‘Good Things Take Time’
The much-awaited new season of Delhi Crime is finally coming to Netflix this month. It’s been over three years since the last season, but the makers say the long wait was worth it.
Director Tanuj Chopra and producer Apoorva Bakshi explained that the time gap helps them focus on quality storytelling. Tanuj compared it to cooking, saying, “Like a good meal, it takes time to make.” Apoorva added that the show’s strength lies in showing real growth in its characters, especially Vartika Chaturvedi, played by Shefali Shah. “Good things take time to make,” she said, emphasizing that the writing and editing need patience to feel authentic.
In Delhi Crime Season 3, Shefali Shah returns as the determined cop Vartika, alongside Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji. The new season introduces Huma Qureshi as the main antagonist, Meena, who runs a human trafficking ring in Haryana. Tanuj shared that making Meena powerful without glorifying her was a creative challenge.
The crime drama, known for its realistic storytelling and powerful performances, will premiere on Netflix on November 13.
