Salman & Helen celebrate Salim–Salma’s 61st Anniversary

Veteran writer Salim Khan and his wife Salma Khan celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Monday with a small family gathering. The couple was seen arriving at Sohail Khan’s home, where close family and friends joined them for the special evening. Salman Khan, Zaheer Iqbal, Sonakshi Sinha and others were also present.

A video shared by paparazzi showed Salim and Salma stepping out of their car. Salim’s second wife, Helen, also attended the celebration. She smiled and waved at photographers before heading inside.

Salman Khan arrived in an all-black outfit and greeted the media with a wave. Zaheer Iqbal and Sonakshi Sinha also attended but avoided the cameras.

About Salim and Salma’s Marriage

Salim Khan married Salma (then Sushila Charak) in 1964, before he became famous for iconic films like Sholay, Zanjeer and Deewar. They have four children together — Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira.

Salim Khan once shared that he and Salma used to meet secretly before he formally approached her family. Her father was initially worried about their different religions, but Salim assured him it would never affect their marriage.

They had both saat phere and a nikaah, fulfilling rituals from both traditions. In 1981, Salim also married actor Helen but remained married to Salma as well.

Earlier in August, a cute video of Salim feeding Salma went viral after Sohail Khan posted it. The sweet moment touched many hearts online.
