Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 Hits Theatres On October 2

The makers of Drishyam 3 have officially announced the release date of the much-awaited film. On Monday morning, a new promo confirmed that the movie will hit theatres on October 2, 2026. This date is special for the Drishyam franchise and holds importance in the story.

Ajay Devgn will once again be seen as Vijay Salgaonkar, the role that made the Drishyam series so popular. The third part will continue the gripping story that began in the first two films.

Actors Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor have also been confirmed to return. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, who play Vijay’s daughters, will also reprise their roles. There is no confirmation yet on whether Akshaye Khanna, who played a key role in Drishyam 2, will be part of this film.

The shooting of Drishyam 3 is currently in progress and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026. The makers are likely to release the trailer sometime in 2026, though an official date has not been announced yet. About the Drishyam franchise

Drishyam is the Hindi remake of the popular Malayalam film of the same name. The first film released in 2015 and told the story of Vijay Salgaonkar, a simple cable TV operator from Goa who uses his intelligence to protect his family after a crime shakes their lives.

The first film earned around ₹197 crore worldwide. Due to its huge success, Drishyam 2 was released in 2022 and performed even better, collecting about ₹345 crore globally. Soon after, the makers announced plans for Drishyam 3.

Drishyam 3 is directed by Abhishek Pathak and written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan, and Parveez Shaikh. The film is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. The Malayalam version of Drishyam 3, starring Mammootty, is also expected to release in 2026.
