Karisma Kapoor In ₹30000 Crore Inheritance Fight

A major family dispute has broken out over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s ₹30,000 crore estate. His children with actor Karisma Kapoor – Samaira (20) and Kiaan (14) – have filed a case in the Delhi High Court. They claim their stepmother, Priya Sachdev Kapur, left them out of their father’s will.

Although Karisma herself is not a plaintiff, she is representing her children in court. Since Kiaan is a minor, the actor is standing in for him and trying to protect both kids from media attention.

The case has been filed against Priya Kapur, her minor son, Sunjay’s mother, and a woman who claims to be the executor of the will. Samaira and Kiaan allege that their father had often promised them a share of his fortune, but the final will did not mention them. They also accuse Priya of hiding the will at first and later producing a suspicious version dated March 21, 2025, which raised doubts of forgery.

Sunjay Kapur, founder and chairman of Sona Comstar, one of the world’s top auto parts companies, died in June this year after suffering a heart attack while playing polo in London.
