K-drama fans, get ready! Netflix has announced its new series Typhoon Family, starring Lee Jun Ho and Kim Min Ha. The show will premiere on October 11, 2025, and run until November 30, 2025. It will have 16 episodes, each about an hour long.

Storyline

The drama is set during the 1997 IMF crisis in South Korea. It follows Kang Tae Pung (Lee Jun Ho), the CEO of Typhoon Company. After his father’s death, Tae Pung struggles to save the company that meant everything to his father, while also trying to protect his family. The story is about love, survival, and resilience during tough times.

Cast

Lee Jun Ho plays Kang Tae Pung. He says the drama is about finding “laughter, comfort, and strength with the people you love.”
Kim Min Ha plays Oh Mi Seon. She calls the drama heartfelt and hopes audiences will feel the journey of youth, hardship, and hope.
The supporting cast includes Sung Dong Il, Kim Ji Young, Kim Min Seok, Mu Jin Sung, and Jin Seon Kyu.
