“Abhay Deol Lookalike Wins ₹500 & Chewing Gum in Delhi!”

The trend of lookalike competitions is taking over! After Timothée Chalamet’s viral contest in New York, where the actor himself made a surprise appearance, Delhi decided to join the fun with a unique twist.

On Sunday, Hauz Khas Park hosted an Abhay Deol lookalike contest, organized by the Instagram page Films From Underground. The prize? ₹500, three movie tickets, and two packs of chewing gum.

Fans came ready to impress! One showed up in a black sleeveless shirt, inspired by Abhay’s Instagram posts. Another wore a fake black eye, referencing Abhay’s iconic awards show moment. But in the end, the winner was a guy in a yellow sweater with a messy mullet. The crowd, however, wasn’t entirely sold. Comments like “Look away competition” and “Abhay Deol from Meesho” poured in online.

Sadly, the real Abhay Deol didn’t make an appearance.

Meanwhile, Timothée Chalamet’s lookalike contest in New York caused quite a stir in October, with the actor himself showing up. Hundreds gathered, but police shut it down, slapping a $500 fine for an “unpermitted costume contest.”
