Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan recently replied to an X (formerly Twitter) user who accused him of buying awards and using aggressive PR to stay in the news. The comment came after he won the Best Actor award at Filmfare for his role in I Want to Talk.
The user wrote that Abhishek’s award win was due to PR and that his movie was barely seen by anyone. In response, Abhishek calmly cleared the air, saying, “Never has any award been bought or aggressive PR been done by me — only hard work, blood, sweat, and tears.” He added that he would continue to work harder to prove doubters wrong.
Fans quickly came to his defense, praising his talent and calling him one of the most underrated actors in Bollywood. Many said his dedication and genuine performances speak louder than box-office numbers.
This year, Abhishek appeared in Be Happy, Housefull 5, and Kaalidhar Laapata. Up next, he’ll be seen in Siddharth Anand’s film King with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
