Akshay Kumar played matchmaker for Asin and Rahul Sharma. Rahul shared on a podcast how they first met at an India vs Pakistan match in Dhaka in 2012. Akshay, promoting Housefull 2, thought Asin and Rahul had similar values and gave them each other’s numbers. They connected, got married in 2016, and have a daughter.

Akshay later revealed he subtly brought them together during a Housefull 2 shoot, even getting them to hide in a cupboard! Rahul calls Akshay’s matchmaking his “greatest contribution.”
