“Akshay, Rajnath Singh, Veer At Sky Force Screening”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended a special screening of the film Sky Force alongside actors Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya. The screening took place at the Air Force Auditorium in New Delhi. Sharing pictures on X (formerly Twitter), Rajnath Singh wrote about the film’s inspiring story.

In the photos, Akshay and Veer posed with dignitaries, including Rajnath Singh. Akshay sat next to the Defence Minister during the screening. Other key figures present were CDS Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Air Staff Amar Preet Singh, Navy Chief Dinesh K Tripathi, and several officers from the armed forces.

Rajnath Singh praised the movie, saying, “Joined CDS and three service chiefs at the special screening of Sky Force. The film narrates the story of the Indian Air Force’s bravery, courage, and sacrifice during the 1965 War. I laud the makers of the film for their efforts.”

Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force tells the gripping story of India’s strike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pak war. Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan also star in the film, which will release in theatres on January 24.

Veer Pahariya, making his debut in the film, shared his thoughts in an interview. He said, “Working on my first film Sky Force was overwhelming. It’s a big responsibility to play a real-life hero, squadron leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who was one of the heroes of the 1965 war. This story needs to be told to inspire future generations.”
