Alia Bhatt, known not just as an actor but also as a film lover, recently shared her thoughts on Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, a Malayalam fantasy-adventure film produced by Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films.
Taking to Instagram, Alia wrote, “Such a fresh blend of mythic folklore and mystery! So happy to see the love it’s getting. This is a step in cinema that I will always be eager to show my love and support for!” She also informed fans that the film would release in Hindi today, making it accessible to a wider audience.
Dulquer Salmaan, who produced but didn’t act in the film, reposted Alia’s story with a warm note: “Thank you for always championing cinema you believe in Alia!! Lots of love.”
This praise comes even as the film faces some controversy. A dialogue in the film offended audiences in Karnataka by depicting Bengaluru women negatively, even though the line came from a misogynistic character.
There is also ongoing discussion about how Bengaluru is portrayed in the movie.
