After her husband, Farhan Azmi, was booked for a fight at a supermarket in Candolim, Goa, former actress Ayesha Takia shared videos from that night. She asked people not to blame her husband and their 11-year-old son, saying they were the real victims.
Ayesha posted a clip showing a news headline that said, “Goa Police book Abu Azmi’s son for fighting, threatening locals, and abusing power.” She denied these claims and said, “Goa Police have also booked the real troublemakers. Please stop spreading lies. Watch the videos and see who the real goons are. Farhan and my son are the actual victims.”
She also defended her husband, saying, “Farhan abusing power? Look at these rowdy women calling my son dirty words. He is just 11 years old. Farhan was already in the police car at this point. Who are these horrible women? Shameful!”
In another video, Ayesha showed a woman yelling at Farhan in front of the police. She wrote, “See who the real bullies are. Look at how they talk to the cops.”
On Tuesday, Goa Police filed a case against Farhan Azmi and others for creating a disturbance in public. The incident happened on Monday night in Candolim.
Ayesha claimed that her husband had actually called the police for help, but instead, a case was filed against him. She wrote, “It was a horrible night for our family. My husband and son were bullied and scared for their lives. Local goons in Goa threatened and tormented them for hours. Even the police who came to help were attacked by these goons.”
She further added, “These people insulted Farhan and my son just because they are from Maharashtra and have a big car.”
According to the Goa Police, they got a call at 11:12 PM on Monday about a fight at a supermarket in Candolim. When they arrived, they found two groups arguing over a minor issue. The police said Farhan Azmi mentioned that he had a licensed firearm.
