Indian cricketer MS Dhoni and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga have teamed up for a fun new ad for EMotorad, an e-cycle brand. In the ad, Dhoni acts like Ranbir Kapoor’s character from Sandeep’s hit 2023 film Animal. The video is full of funny moments where Dhoni questions Sandeep’s over-the-top style while playing the intense role.
In the clip, Dhoni gets out of a fancy car, but instead of holding a gun like Ranbir in Animal, he carries an e-cycle. Sandeep loves it and says, “Mind-blowing, fantastic, people will go crazy for this.” Dhoni even copies Ranbir’s famous line from the movie, “Sunayi de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hoon main (I can hear you, I’m not deaf),” to which Sandeep replies, “Now my hero is ready!”
At one point, Dhoni asks, “Isn’t this too much?” but Sandeep promises to make it even bigger. The ad ends with Dhoni recreating Ranbir’s final pose from Animal with a twist – it’s all about the e-cycle! The video has been shared on social media with the tagline “Animal for a Reason.”
Fans loved the ad and filled X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram with comments like, “Thala in Animal mode,” and “The crossover we never expected.” One fan even joked, “Animal ft. Dhoni where he says Trophy Trophy Trophy instead of Papa Papa Papa.”
The ad dropped just in time for the IPL, adding to the excitement.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal made ₹915 crore globally and now he is working on a new film with Prabhas called Spirit.
