Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s film Thandel is based on a true story, but did you know Allu Arjun played an unexpected role in its making?
The film follows 22 fishermen from Srikakulam who accidentally drifted into Pakistan and were jailed for 13 months. A Pakistani jailer, a huge fan of Allu Arjun, helped them and even asked for the actor’s autograph. When the fishermen returned to India, they shared their story with a writer, who then approached Geetha Arts. Producer Bunny Vas found it so inspiring that he decided to make Thandel!
🎬 A film born from an unexpected connection!
