Is Sitaare Zameen Par A Double Copy?

The trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par was released on Tuesday evening, and many people loved it. The trailer shows Aamir Khan as a tough and angry basketball coach who trains a team of intellectually disabled people. Viewers praised the film’s honest take on disabilities and Aamir’s unique role. But soon after the trailer dropped, the internet started pointing out something strange.

Many people noticed that several scenes looked exactly like scenes from the Hollywood movie Champions (2023), starring Woody Harrelson. But it didn’t stop there.

What’s the Story?

In Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan plays a coach who is fired from his team and arrested for drunk driving. The court orders him to do community service by training a team of intellectually disabled players. This storyline is the same as Champions and Campeones.

Online, users even shared side-by-side clips from Sitaare Zameen Par and Champions, showing that some scenes are almost the same.

About the Film

Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. It stars Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza, along with 10 new young actors.
