The Supreme Court has told that all stray dogs in Delhi-NCR should be moved to shelters. Stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Chinmayi Sripaada, Varun Grover, and Vir Das are not happy with this. They say this is like giving dogs a “death sentence.”
Janhvi and Varun shared a post saying that stray dogs are part of daily life—they guard shops, wait for biscuits, and greet people every day. They believe the real solution is sterilisation, vaccination, feeding zones, and adoption, not locking them away.
Chinmayi said that many pets are already abandoned after breeding, and this order will make things worse.
Director Siddharth Anand said dogs will die in shelters without food and water, and called for a petition to stop it.
Celebrities want the stray dogs to be protected, not punished.
