Kangana Ranaut, who once called Karan Johar the “flag-bearer of nepotism,” now wants him to act in her directorial. During her appearance on Indian Idol 15, Kangana was asked if she’d work with Karan’s Dharma Productions despite their cold war. She laughed and said, “Karan sir should do a movie with me. I’ll give him a great role and make a proper film—not the usual saas-bahu gossip or PR stunts.”
The feud began in 2017 when Kangana appeared on Koffee with Karan and called him the villain of her potential biopic. Karan later defended himself, saying he hasn’t worked with Kangana by choice, not because she’s an outsider.
Kangana is gearing up for the release of her directorial debut, Emergency. She plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this period political thriller. Produced by Manikarnika Films and Zee Studios, the movie also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman. The film is based on the 1975 Emergency declared by Indira Gandhi and will hit cinemas on January 17.
