Four Bollywood celebrities—Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo D’Souza, and Sugandha Mishra—have reportedly received death threats from Pakistan. The threats were sent via email, signed by someone using the name “BISHNU.” An FIR has been filed at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai, and police are investigating the matter.
The email warned them about “serious consequences” if they didn’t respond within eight hours. It claimed this wasn’t a joke or publicity stunt and asked the recipients to take it seriously. The sender also threatened Kapil Sharma and his team, linking the threats to Salman Khan’s sponsorship of Kapil’s show.
On December 14, 2024, Rajpal Yadav received the email and immediately alerted the authorities. His wife, Radha Yadav, filed the complaint, prompting the Mumbai Police to take action. A case under Section 351(3) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita has been registered. Security has been promised to Kapil Sharma and his team.
The police have traced the email’s IP address to Pakistan and are seeking government assistance to investigate further.
