Ahaan Panday, who is Chunky Panday’s nephew and Ananya Panday’s cousin, is winning hearts with his debut film Saiyaara. Starring opposite Aneet Padda, the film is directed by Mohit Suri and has become a big hit at the box office. Many fans are saying it reminds them of Aashiqui 2 because of its emotional love story and soulful music.
Now, filmmaker Karan Johar has shared his thoughts on the film. Posting a picture of the movie, Karan wrote that he had tears in his eyes while watching it and was happy to see such a touching love story. He praised both Ahaan and Aneet, saying their acting was magical and heartfelt.
Karan wrote, “What a debut, Ahaan! You broke my heart and also gave me hope as a filmmaker. Aneet, you were amazing. Your silence, strength, and emotion moved me.”
While many fans loved Karan’s post, a troll called him “nepo kid ka daijaan” (nanny of star kids). Usually quiet about such comments, this time Karan replied sharply:
“Chup kar! Ghar baithe negativity mat paal. Do bachon ka kaam dekh, aur khud kuch kaam kar!”
(Translation: “Be quiet! Don’t spread negativity sitting at home. Watch the kids’ work and do something yourself!”)
Fans supported Karan in the comments, saying it’s not always about nepotism and talent should be appreciated.
