National Award–winning actress Manasi Parekh’s new Gujarati film Misri hit theatres today, October 31. The movie stars Raunaq Kamdar, Tiku Talsania, Hitu Kanodia, Kaushambi Bhatt, Princy Prajapati, and Prem Gadhavi, and it is a sweet romantic comedy.
While fans rushed to watch the film, Manasi and her co-stars found themselves in trouble. Before the movie’s release, Manasi and actor Tiku Talsania performed dangerous bike stunts on the busy streets of Ahmedabad during a promotional event.
Tiku rode a bike while standing, and Manasi did a Titanic-style pose without a helmet as the rider even took hands off the handle for a moment. The stunt broke traffic rules and soon went viral for all the wrong reasons. Many social media users called the act careless and unsafe, saying it was “stupidity in 4K.”
The actors later apologized, but the Ahmedabad police registered a case against them under road safety laws for driving dangerously and performing stunts on public roads.
Meanwhile, Misri is getting positive reviews. Viewers are calling it a heart-touching love story with beautiful music and emotional moments. Fans say it’s a feel-good family film that stays with you even after it ends.
