Lyricist and screenwriter Manoj Muntashir has expressed his anger after not being credited for writing the song Maaye from the upcoming film Sky Force. On Tuesday, Manoj took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to warn the makers – Jio Studios, Maddock Films, and Saregama Global – about legal action if his name isn’t properly credited.
The teaser for the song Maaye was shared by Jio Studios, featuring vocals by B Praak and music by Tanishk Bagchi. However, the clip credited only the singer and composer, leaving out Manoj’s contribution as a lyricist.
Manoj tweeted, “This song is not just sung and composed but also written by someone who has given all his blood and sweat to it.” He added, “Removing the writer’s name from the opening credits shows utter disrespect for the craft.
