Director Milap Zaveri is enjoying box office success again with his film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. The movie has reportedly earned over ₹100 crore worldwide. But while many viewers loved the film, some critics were not impressed and called it “regressive” and “cringe.”
A reviewer on Twitter wrote that the film felt old-school and called it a “cringe-fest,” though they praised the music and performances. Almost two weeks later, Milap Zaveri replied to the review, saying he is grateful that the audience did not agree with that opinion. He added heart and folded-hands emojis in his response.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat released on Diwali and received mixed reviews, but still managed to perform well at the box office.
