Neena Gupta Says She’s Never Had Filmy Love

Bollywood often shows dreamy and passionate love stories, but actor Neena Gupta says her real life was very different. While promoting her film Metro… In Dino, Neena shared that she has never experienced the kind of love shown in films or books.

In an interview, Neena said, “I’ve never been loved the way we read in novels or watch in movies. No one was madly in love with me. But I once fell in love deeply with someone, though it didn’t turn into a relationship.”

She also talked about her first love—an IIT student she later married. In college, people thought she was very modern, and some were jealous of her. But once when she planned a movie date with her boyfriend, her friends told her parents. With no mobile phones back then, she couldn’t inform him, and he waited for her not knowing what happened.

Neena Gupta has been married to Vivek Mehra, a Delhi-based chartered accountant, for almost 13 years now. Earlier, she was in a relationship with cricketer Vivian Richards and has a daughter, Masaba, who is now a well-known fashion designer.
