Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy Param Sundari released in theatres on August 29. The film got mixed reviews from critics, but audiences loved the fresh chemistry between the lead pair.
On its opening day, Param Sundari earned ₹7.25 crore, becoming Sidharth’s 5th biggest opening. On the second day, the film collected ₹9.22 crore, taking the total to ₹16.47 crore. This shows the film is holding steady at the box office.
The film has already crossed the lifetime collection of Mere Husband Ki Biwi (₹12.85 crore). However, it still falls far behind blockbusters like Chennai Express, which made ₹28.05 crore on its second day.
Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie stars Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor along with Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Innayat Verma, and Renji Panicker.
While the film was criticized for its weak screenplay and predictable storyline, the lead pair’s chemistry and the music received a lot of appreciation.
The story follows Param, a Delhi boy, who uses an AI app to find love. This leads him to Sundari, a girl from Kerala, and their romantic journey begins.
