2025 has been a great year for Pooja Hegde. Her performance in Retro opposite Suriya earned her praise, and her special appearance in Rajinikanth’s Coolie was also appreciated, with both films doing well at the box office.
Talking about the film industry, Pooja says times are unpredictable, but people still love watching movies in theatres. “Audiences haven’t fallen out of love with the big-screen experience—they just need a reason to go back. The emotion, scale, and sense of community in theatres can’t be felt at home. When a film promises a full experience—through story, music, or magic—people will come. Theatres will always have their place,” she explains.
Pooja’s upcoming films include Jana Nayagan with Vijay and Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Varun Dhawan. She also shared that a male co-star’s popularity doesn’t influence her choice of films.
On her recent birthday, October 13, Pooja celebrated with family. “I’ve been traveling between Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, so it was nice to be home after a long time,” she said.
Pooja Hegde continues to be one of the most promising actors in the industry, balancing commercial hits with meaningful performances.
