Filmmaker Vinay Sapru, who directed Sanam Teri Kasam with Radhika Rao, said that if the movie was made in the 1990s, Salman Khan would have been the lead actor. In an interview with India Today, Vinay called Salman the “ultimate romantic hero” of that time. He explained that Salman’s innocence, emotional depth, and charming presence would have made him perfect for the role of Inder.
Vinay praised Salman, saying, “Who wouldn’t want to work with him? He’s been a superstar for over 30 years, and his presence makes his co-stars look special.” Vinay and Salman worked together in Lucky: No Time For Love in 2005, directed by Vinay and Radhika. Vinay also said they are waiting for the right script to collaborate with Salman again.
Sanam Teri Kasam (2016) is a romantic drama starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in their Bollywood debuts. The movie also features Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma, and Sudesh Berry. It recently re-released in theaters.
