Shahid Kapoor On Shaving Head: ‘Like Mundan, No Fears’

Shahid Kapoor is all set for his next big release, Deva, where he plays a fearless cop in a stylish action-packed role. Known for his bold hair transformations, Shahid has never hesitated to change his look for a role—whether it’s going bald for Haider or experimenting with long locks and beards.

Speaking about his hair makeovers, Shahid shared that as an actor, one must “sacrifice” things they are most associated with. He revealed that letting go of physical features helped him grow as an actor.

“I used to think my hair and looks were a big part of my personality. But true confidence doesn’t come from these things. Haider was a turning point for me, where I realized I didn’t need those crutches,” Shahid said.

When asked if he ever feared shaving his head for a role, he laughed and said, “Bachpan mein mundan hota hai, tab koi nahin puchta! Hair always grows back, and sometimes even better.”

Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, also stars Pooja Hegde as an investigative journalist. The film is set to hit theatres worldwide on January 31.
