Actor Suniel Shetty has approached the Bombay High Court after finding that many websites and social media pages are using his photos without permission. Some platforms even used pictures of his granddaughter Evaraah, daughter of Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul.
In his plea, Suniel said that these photos are being misused by businesses like real estate and gambling websites to promote their services, even though he has no connection with them. He argued that using his photos without consent is damaging his reputation and violates his personality rights.
Suniel’s lawyer, Birendra Saraf, asked the court to order all such websites to remove the pictures immediately and stop using them in the future. The court has heard the matter and reserved its order.
This move highlights the growing issue of celebrities’ images being misused online for commercial gain.
