The legal battle over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s estate has taken another turn. During a recent Delhi High Court hearing, Priya Sachdev responded to her mother-in-law Rani Kapur’s claims. Priya said that Rani continues to receive over ₹21 lakh every month from the company, along with personal expenses, just like when Sunjay was alive.
The hearing also involved Karisma Kapoor’s children, who have claimed that Priya may have fabricated Sunjay Kapur’s will.
Rani’s lawyer accused Priya of hiding important financial details and suggested that some money might have been sent abroad.
Priya’s lawyer, Rajiv Nayar, denied these claims, saying all transactions are properly listed and “No money has been moved abroad.” He called Rani’s allegations baseless and reckless.
Rani had also claimed that Sunjay was receiving a salary of ₹60 crore, but Priya’s lawyer clarified:
The legal team also said that Rani Kapur still draws money from Sunjay’s company, Sona Comstar’s holding firm AIPL.
The court will continue to hear updates on this high-profile estate dispute.
