Legendary actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24 in Mumbai. After a prayer meet was held in Mumbai on November 27, actor-politician Hema Malini, along with her daughters Esha Deol (with ex-husband Bharat Takhtani) and Ahana Deol (with husband Vaibhav Vohra), organised another prayer meet in Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
Many known faces attended the Delhi prayer meet, including Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Home Minister Amit Shah, Kangana Ranaut, Ravi Kishan, and Ranjeet. The venue was decorated with white flowers, and special seating was arranged for all the guests. While remembering Dharmendra, Hema Malini said, “I have known Dharmendra ji for 57 years. Since the time I entered films, I got to work with him in many movies. We did around 45 films together, and 25 of them were superhits. We were a hit pair.”
She also shared, “When he started doing Urdu poetry, people saw a new side of him. He used to recite shayari based on the moment. I even told him to publish a book because he was a beautiful writer. He planned it, but sadly it couldn’t happen.” Delhi CM Rekha Gupta added, “A personality like Dharmendra is very rare. You see such an actor only once in a lifetime. His smile and charm will always stay in our hearts, and his films will be remembered forever
