After a dull start, Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s chat show Two Much finally got interesting in its second episode with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan as guests. The two actors, who started their careers together in Student of the Year (2012), brought their natural chemistry and playful banter to the stage.
Alia and Varun teased each other, shared funny behind-the-scenes stories, and revealed little secrets. Their easy bond made the episode light and entertaining—like two old friends catching up. Even though they haven’t worked in a film together for years, seeing them on a show together was a treat.
Both Alia and Varun are now parents, and this shift showed in the way they spoke. Varun admitted that fatherhood changed him deeply, while Alia opened up about the guilt of balancing work and motherhood. The episode had sweet, heartfelt moments where the two reflected on how life has changed since their student days.
The show still struggles with flow. The food-table segment felt unnecessary, and some games—like making Alia eat a French fry or drink odd mixes—seemed awkward. At times, it felt like Alia and Varun were carrying the entire conversation while Kajol and Twinkle mostly laughed along instead of leading it.
Episode 2 was much better than the first, thanks to Alia and Varun’s chemistry. But Two Much still needs more natural conversations and stronger hosting to truly shine.
