“Vasan Bala On Alia: Directors Struggle After Working With Her”

Vasan Bala teamed up with Alia Bhatt for the jailbreak thriller Jigra. While the film received critical praise, it didn’t perform well at the box office, earning ₹55 crore against its ₹80 crore budget.

Speaking about his experience with Alia, Vasan said she spoils directors with her talent and dedication. “She’s always ready, needs no entourage, and understands scenes effortlessly. After working with her, directors struggle in their next film,” he joked.

He also shared a light moment on the usually serious set. “One day, we just laughed and relaxed—it brought some fun to the grim environment.”

Jigra tells the story of a woman fighting to save her brother, who is on death row for a crime he didn’t commit. Starring Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Manoj Pahwa, Rahul Ravindran, and Vivek Gomber, the film showcases courage and determination.
