“Akshay Oberoi On Janhvi: ‘Being Sridevi’s Daughter Is Tough’”

Actors Akshay Oberoi and Janhvi Kapoor will be seen together in the upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (SSKTK), directed by Shashank Khaitan. The movie also stars Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf, and will release on October 2, 2025.

Recently, in an interview with The Free Press Journal, Akshay shared his experience of working with Janhvi.

Akshay on bonding with Janhvi

Akshay revealed that at first, he and Janhvi didn’t talk much on set, as she already knew the others. But after a few days, they connected. He praised Janhvi for being intelligent, humble, and well-read, even sharing that she can talk deeply about philosophers like Nietzsche and Immanuel Kant.

He also admired how Janhvi is grounded despite belonging to such a legendary family, saying:
“Being Sridevi’s daughter comes with its own weight. But she never acted like she was above me. She’s wonderful to work with.”

The two have since built a good bond, and Akshay said he enjoyed reconnecting with her at a recent event.
