Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar excited fans when he announced Jee Le Zaraa in 2021 with Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif. But the film faced several delays. In a recent interview with Our Stupid Reactions, Farhan revealed the film has not been cancelled and will happen.
There were rumours that the movie was shelved due to scheduling issues. Farhan said, “I would hate to say that it’s shelved. It has been put on the back burner. It is a film that will happen. I don’t know when, but it’s a great script and a lot of work is already done.”
He also hinted that the original cast may change, saying, “I can’t comment on the cast anymore, but the film will happen. All locations have been scouted and music recorded. It’s just a matter of time.”
In 2024, Alia Bhatt also shared that coordinating dates for everyone has been difficult, but everyone wants the film to happen.
Farhan announced the film on the 20th anniversary of Dil Chahta Hai, his debut film. It was supposed to be his directorial comeback, but in 2023 he announced Don 3 with Ranveer Singh.
Fans can now be assured that Jee Le Zaraa is still on the cards, even if it may take time to start shooting.
