Actor Amitabh Bachchan has written a heartfelt note for women who are homemakers. On his blog, he shared that women should never say “I’m a homemaker” in a low voice, but instead say it with pride.
Amitabh recalled moments from Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 where women from the audience would reply softly when asked what they do, saying they are homemakers. He said, “Why in a low voice? Say it proudly, because being a homemaker is not easy.”
He explained that managing a house involves taking care of the family, children, cooking, and handling daily work. He reminded everyone that this is a tough and important role.
Amitabh also shared how during the Covid-19 pandemic, many men realized the hard work of women in managing homes, as they had to handle household tasks themselves.
Apart from this, Amitabh also celebrated India’s women’s cricket team victory against Pakistan in the World Cup. He called India’s daughters the country’s biggest wealth and praised their efforts.
His TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 is running on Sony TV and SonyLIV. Recently, he was also seen in the Tamil film Vettaiyan with Rajinikanth, marking his Tamil debut.
