Athiya Shetty Scolds Dad Suniel For His Interview Remarks

Actor Suniel Shetty has recently faced criticism for his comments in interviews. In May, people slammed him for praising his daughter Athiya Shetty for choosing natural birth over a C-section. Later, he was called out again for saying, “The husband should build the career,” which many felt was an outdated and unfair comment.

In a new interview with Zoom, Suniel shared that his daughter Athiya often scolds him when he makes such controversial statements. He said, “I try to avoid such questions during promotions. But sometimes I speak and mess up. Then Athiya tells me, ‘Papa, why did you talk? Just say no comment!’ She watches all my interviews. Honestly, she’s the only person I’m scared of. A daughter is the best thing a man can have.”

The Controversial Comment

Earlier, Suniel said that after marriage and having a child, the wife should understand the husband’s career needs and take care of the child. This sparked criticism online, with many calling his views outdated and unfair toward women.

Suniel Shetty is currently part of the web series Hunter 2, streaming on MX Player. The show also stars Anusha Dandekar and Jackie Shroff.
