Recently, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD—Vyjayanthi Movies—announced that Deepika Padukone will not be part of the sequel. This surprised fans since she played an important role in the first film alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. The production house said they couldn’t continue the partnership, adding that a film like Kalki 2898 AD “deserves full commitment.”
Soon after, a viral video started circulating online showing the end credits of Kalki 2898 AD on OTT, claiming that Deepika’s name had been removed. Fans expressed anger, calling it “unprofessional” and “unfair,” as she had promoted the movie and contributed significantly to it.
However, a fact check clears up the confusion. Kalki 2898 AD is available for streaming on Netflix and Prime Video, and Deepika’s name is still visible in both versions.
So, despite online rumors, Deepika Padukone’s name has not been removed from Kalki 2898 AD’s OTT version.
