Deepika Quits Kalki 2898 AD Sequel

Deepika Padukone is facing setbacks in some big projects. After being replaced in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit earlier this year, she has now officially been dropped from the sequel to Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD.

Vyjayanthi Movies announced that the film “deserves full commitment,” and they couldn’t reach an agreement with Deepika. They wished her success in her future projects.

This comes as a surprise since Deepika starred in the first part of the sci-fi epic alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Earlier, she was replaced in Spirit reportedly due to scheduling and contract issues, including a shorter workday request and a high fee.

After leaving Spirit, Triptii Dimri became the female lead, while Deepika is now set to work with Allu Arjun in Atlee’s new film AA22xA6.
