Kumar Sanu’s Ex-Wife Speaks On ₹50 Crore Defamation Case

Famous singer Kumar Sanu has filed a defamation case against his ex-wife, Rita Bhattacharya. He claims that her recent statements have hurt his reputation. While earlier reports said he asked for ₹30 lakh, Rita revealed that Kumar Sanu is actually demanding ₹50 crores.

Rita Bhattacharya’s Statement
Rita expressed her shock at the case, saying, “I’m shocked. He is filing a case against the mother of his three grown-up sons. He is asking for 50 crores. I don’t know how Sanu thinks I have so much money. It is really sad.” She also added, “I will see him in court. I will request him with folded hands — just try to be a good human being and a father to my three children. If you can’t love us, at least don’t disturb or harass us anymore.”

Kumar Sanu and Rita Bhattacharya separated in 1994 and divorced in 2001. They have three sons together. Kumar Sanu says Rita’s comments on interviews and social media have damaged his image. The divorce agreement included a promise that neither party would make accusations against the other, which the lawsuit claims Rita has violated.
