Podcaster Raj Shamani will appear on the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. In a promo, he reveals how he managed to get an exclusive interview with businessman Vijay Mallya—something even top agencies couldn’t do.
Back in June, Raj posted a 4-hour podcast episode with Mallya, where they discussed his life, Kingfisher Airlines, the controversies, and more. It went viral because Mallya hadn’t spoken to the media in years.
On Kapil Sharma’s show, Kapil jokingly asks Raj how he pulled off such a rare interview. Raj replies with a laugh, saying he was out for a walk in London when he spotted Mallya. He approached him and asked, “Sir, do you know who I am?” Mallya said no. Then Raj asked, “Do you know what a podcast is?” and again Mallya said no!
The episode, shot in London, grabbed huge attention online. Raj is expected to share more details on the show, which will stream Saturday at 8 PM on Netflix.
The episode will also feature podcasters Saurabh Dwivedi, Kamiya Jani, and Samdish Bhatia. They’ll talk about their popular interviews, including one with a Chief Minister.
