Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared her journey of battling myositis, an autoimmune condition, and how it completely changed her perspective on life. Speaking at the All India Management Association’s 52nd National Management Convention in Delhi, she revealed that her health now comes before her career.
Samantha admitted that earlier she used to measure success by having multiple films, big blockbusters, brand endorsements, and being on top lists. But today, despite not having a film release in two years or a 1000-crore hit, she said, “I am the happiest I have ever been.”
She explained that the old version of herself was fragile, tied to Friday box office numbers, and constantly anxious about being replaced. Now, she has shifted focus toward gratitude and wellness. Samantha keeps a gratitude journal and invests in health-focused projects, aiming to help others avoid the helplessness she once faced.
Through her podcast and work, she also shares health-related information with her followers, hoping it may help them someday. She believes these small lifestyle changes have made her stronger, calmer, and more positive about both success and failure.
