Actor Shabana Azmi celebrated her 75th birthday with a party full of joy, music, and lots of dancing. The evening became extra special when she shared a sweet romantic dance with her husband, lyricist Javed Akhtar, to the classic song Pretty Little Baby.
The celebrations turned lively as Shabana joined Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Urmila Matondkar on the dance floor. Together, they performed to Kaisi Paheli Zindgani, making the crowd cheer with excitement.
The party was intimate yet glamorous, with Bollywood stars like Farah Khan, Manish Malhotra, Karan Johar, Sonu Nigam, Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Neena Gupta, Farhan Akhtar, and Shibani Akhtar in attendance.
For the evening, Shabana wore a maroon outfit with red borders and a stylish brooch. She kept her accessories minimal and tied her hair neatly. Javed Akhtar matched her look in a red kurta and black Nehru jacket.
Rekha dazzled in a dramatic black-and-white outfit with headgear and gold jewellery, while Madhuri shined in red with a blue scarf. Vidya Balan wore a textured grey gown, and Urmila looked stunning in a gold-and-black dress.
Videos from the night went viral on social media, showing Shabana and Javed dancing, laughing, and enjoying the moment. Farah Khan shared the clip on Instagram, writing: “Now that’s how you turn 75!”
Sanjay Kapoor also shared a video of the actresses dancing, calling them the “OG Queens of Bollywood.”
Recently, Shabana was seen in the series Dabba Cartel, which tells the story of five women who run a tiffin business but get caught in a drug operation. She will next appear in Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, alongside Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Ali Fazal.
