Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra Deny ₹60 Cr Fraud Claims

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have been accused of cheating a businessman of more than ₹60 crore. The complaint was filed by Deepak Kothari, who says the incident happened between 2015 and 2023.

What Happened

Deepak claims that in 2015, Shilpa and Raj asked him for a ₹75 crore loan for their company Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, which sold lifestyle products online. At first, it was supposed to be a loan with 12% interest. Later, they asked him to give the money as an investment instead, promising monthly profits and repayment.

He says he gave them ₹31.95 crore in April 2015 and another ₹28.53 crore in September 2015. The money went into the company’s bank account, but he claims it was later used for the couple’s personal expenses and not returned.

Investigation

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is now checking all transactions and agreements linked to the case.
