At the trailer launch of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor were asked about the rise of AI. Janhvi spoke about her concern over fake AI images of her being shared online without her consent. She explained how such pictures can mislead people into believing they are real.
Just as she was speaking, Varun interrupted her with a joke, asking director Shashank Khaitan if there was any AI in the film. This lighthearted comment shifted focus away from Janhvi’s serious point, which left many fans upset.
Fans on social media called Varun’s behavior “disrespectful,” saying he should have let Janhvi finish her statement. Many felt she looked annoyed and that it wasn’t the right moment for jokes. Comments online pointed out that interrupting during such a sensitive topic was “attention-seeking” and “unnecessary.”
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari stars Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions, the film will hit theatres on 2 October.
