Bollywood actor Yami Gautam recently shared how she once faced pressure to change her looks but decided to stay true to herself.
In an interview with News18, Yami revealed that a senior makeup artist once suggested she should reshape one of her eyebrows to look “cooler and edgier.” She said the idea really upset her. “My heart sank, but I just told him to move on and get ready,” she recalled.
Yami also made it clear that she would never go for cosmetic surgery. She explained that while edited magazine covers may look appealing, real life is different. “As an actor, the audience should focus on my performance, not on why my face or lips look unnatural. Even if I wasn’t an actor, I wouldn’t go for such procedures. They may look good for a moment but can have consequences later,” she said.
Many Bollywood stars have admitted to cosmetic surgery, while others, like Yami, choose to embrace natural beauty.
On the work front, Yami was last seen in the rom-com Dhoom Dhaam alongside Pratik Gandhi, now streaming on Netflix. She will next appear in Haq, a courtroom drama with Emraan Hashmi, set to release on November 7.
