Comedian Samay Raina spoke about the controversy around India’s Got Latent during his stand-up show in Canada. A fan, Shubham Dutta, shared his experience on Facebook, saying that Raina looked stressed but still made everyone laugh.
Dutta wrote, “I saw a young guy, only 25 years old, looking very tired with dark circles and messy hair, walk on stage wearing a dusty black hoodie. His first words were, ‘Thanks for paying my lawyer’s fees.’” He added that around seven hundred people in the audience cheered for Raina, even as he stood with tears in his eyes before starting his comedy set.
During his show, Raina joked about the controversy, saying, “There will be many moments in this show where you might think I could say something really funny, but in those moments, just remember BeerBiceps, brother.”
