Kim Soo Hyun’s Disney+ comeback series Knock-Off is in serious trouble after allegations surfaced about his past relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron, who may have been underage at the time. Reports also claim his agency pressured her over debt repayments.
Knock-Off finished filming Season 1 and began Season 2, with an early 2025 release planned. However, due to the controversy, the show may now face delays or cancellation. The series, set during the Asian financial crisis, also stars Jo Bo Ah and had a production budget of 60 billion KRW (about 41 million USD).
Adding to the issue, YouTube channel HOVERLAB has shared more evidence fueling the scandal. Industry insiders believe Disney+ might sue Kim Soo Hyun for breaking a “morality clause” in his contract, especially as Prada has already dropped him as an ambassador. His next move could decide his career’s future.
